Engagement/ Bridal Portraits

Here we are less than two months until the big day! Our photo session went very well. My friend took such wonderful pictures and I couldn't be happier. It was 105 degrees on Saturday and we were all hot and uncomfortable. Though, you would never be able to tell looking at the pictures. We also took Bridal Portraits after we sent Jason home. I will hopefully have those sometime this week.

The Wedding Blog Begins

After searching on the internet for lots of ideas as the wedding approaches, I decided it's time for a change. I have viewed many blogs of brides-to-be and decided I would like to write about being a Bride-to-be as well.

With less than 2 months until the "Big Day", there isn't much left. We have purchased our rings, our "Guestbook", of course "The Dress" and put a deposit down on Jason's tux.

We decided to go with a different type of guestbook, since I don't see myself flipping through pages of names and remembering everyone. We decided to go with a new idea of a framed picture. Well the framed picture isn't a new idea, but we found a frame made of alloy that will be inscribed as everyone signs on it. We found it at: idoengravables.com

We are having our pictures taken this Saturday as our Couples Portraits and then Jason is leaving, so I can take my Bridal Portraits too. I'm really excited! My friend from High School lives right here in Dallas and is an amatuer photographer.

I'll post the pictures as soon as I get them.

Also, we are about to send out the invitations, finally! I have had my list finished, but Dad has procrastinated and is finishing it up today, hopefully!

We are trying to get the invitations out as soon as possible, since he wants a reply by August 20th.

Back and better than ever!

So, I know that I have been a slacker about blogging so I'm going to try to be better about that. My Texas Best friend Sam and I saw "P.S. I Love You" yesterday and it really put things into perspective. I loved that movie so much! I couldn't wait to come home and wrap my arms around Jason and tell him how much I love him and how I'm not going to let the small stuff bother me. What I got out of the movie was that all that matters is that we love each other unconditionally and have each other. So when something happens I'm going to try to stay in that perspective instead of get all upset over nothing. Because after all, it really is nothing.
